The Hewitt Foundation is extremely blessed beyond measure to have such strong support from local businesses within our community. It’s because of y’all that the Hewitt Foundation is able to reinvest in our community and help children in need and be a shining light of Jesus to them! Sponsorship donations for the 4th annual Hewitt 5K totaled $8,700.00. This total was $2,400.00 more than last year’s sponsorships!

If you or your business feel lead to donate to the Hewitt Foundation please contact us at hewittfoundation@gmail.com for more info on how to proceed.

The Hewitt Foundation was able to deliver & install 5 yards of mulch for the Hewitt Pavilion located at Chapin Baptist Church. This beautiful structure was built in memory of Parker and Haley Hewitt several years ago. This beautification project will enhance the area greatly as it is used frequently by the Child Development Center at Chapin Baptist, all ministries of Chapin Baptist (Children, Student, Smalls Groups, Legends, etc) and of course, the entire community.

With the Hewitt Pavilion being the first ever project for the Hewitt Foundation it will always be an integral part of us. If you have a desire to volunteer a few hours a month to help with the ongoing beautification project for this area, please send an email to hewittfoundation@gmail.com with your name, number, and a brief description of how you would like to assist.

By supporting the Hewitt Foundation you allow us the opportunity to help others in need within our community and be a shining light of Jesus to them.

The entire community is invited out to Crooked Creek Park on 6/25/16 for the 4th Annual Hewitt 5K. This event is in memory of our two children, Parker and Haley Hewitt, who went to be with Jesus on 6/29/09.

Here is a video of why we do this special community event:

To register for the event please head over to www.strictlyrunning.com. You can select to RUN or WALK the event. All ages are encouraged to attend. We want the 4th year to be just as packed (if not more) than last year!  Looking forward to seeing everyone there! Please share this event and tell all of your friends about it!

FYI – Registration packet pickup will be 6/24 at Crooked Creek Park in Chapin from 5pm-7pm.

The Hewitt Foundation was able to deliver 35 Easter baskets for children in need to We Care in Chapin. Each basket was filled with a children’s bible and other fun toys such as stuffed animals, play-doh, coloring books, markers, bubbles, etc.

Pictured with Crystal Hewitt is Janet Marshall, a volunteer at We Care. She accepted the baskets on behalf of the Hewitt Foundation and will help distribute them out to families of We Care Easter weekend.

By supporting the Hewitt Foundation you allow us the opportunity to help children in need in our community and be a shining light of Jesus to them.

The Hewitt Foundation was able to assist in the renovations project of the basketball courts at Chapin Baptist Church. New adjustable basketball goals were installed so the people of all ages could benefit from this area on the church property. The basketball court was painted to match the look of a traditional basketball court so those playing could learn the game properly. Security cameras were installed to protect this area and keep it safe at all times for everyone who uses it. “Dusk to dawn” style lights were install by MCEC to allow others maximum playing time in this area.

The basketball court at Chapin Baptist is now an active area on the church property with lots of use. Most nights you can find groups of people, from all ages, running up and down the courts enjoying a game of basketball and fellowship. Stop by for yourself and see this wonderful area on the church campus of Chapin Baptist.
